Bio:

I am a social worker teacher in college from Taiwan, and the Chairman of the board of Taiwan Action Research Association for developing the helping professional communities building and training the reflective practitioners. I get the PhD. In the Department of Psychology of Fu-jen University at 2016. However, the most meaningful thing for my life is to get involved in Taiwan social movement since I was 23 years old, 27 years ago, especially in being an activist in sex workers rights movement. To be one of the founders and worker of Collective of Sex Workers and Supporters (http://coswas.org/ ) makes me get committed on the path of social and political transformation. During these few years, several social movement communities try to build and develop a political group, the People’s Democratic Front (PDF), to advocate for a progressive strategy that encourages every citizen in Taiwan to run for elections so as to fundamentally change the current political system in Taiwan. Even most of the participants are the minority and underclass. We want to urgently transform and subvert the undemocratic power relations between the electorates and the elected – this is a critical factor in any form of democracy. We have to emancipate the political desires of the common people, which have been suppressed and denied by the establishment for so long so that we can confidently exercise our political power.

The participation groups we collaborate are People without citizen rights (e.g. undocumented migrants and migrant workers, stateless persons, refugees etc.), Victims of Occupational Injuries, Collective of Sex Workers and Supporters (COSWAS), LGBT in alliance with the Poor, Rank-and-File Nurses, Teachers from Democracy Education Group. I am still on the way toward the tough road but I am not alone.
