Jacqueline Salit’s talk to the Institute community on “Finding Otherness” was filled with video- diary examples of people breaking out of rigid norms to find otherness and, in that process, creating new sources of emotional, social and political power.

Finding otherness is that process of creating that something else…It’s about power; it’s about love; it’s about being with the other to create otherness.
