Carolina Ruesga is a Mexican social entrepreneur. In 1995, she helped create and led Fundación Comunidad in her home state of Morelos, a local philanthropy organization that strengthens community organization and local funds. She then moved to Mexico City and served in important umbrella and donor organizations. In 2006, she cofounded GESOC, a think tank that contributes to evaluation, transparency and accountability culture in Mexico to advocate for social rights and to enhance social policies. In 2013, she embarked in VSD Consulting (Social Value for Development), specializing in the evaluation of social intervention models to maximize and broaden its effects on deprived and vulnerable communities. Through these organizations, Carolina served more than 600 civil society organizations (CSOs) as a consultant and advisor in the past 12 years, and has developed key capacity building materials that are widely used in the Mexican non profit sector.

In 2018, she created Práctica Social, a start up that fosters relational capacities through group and community building processes, while applying sociotherapeutic approaches to learning environments for social and personal development. She works with transitional prisoners, migrants, indigenous women and members of LGBTT groups in partnership with other CSOs, and she collaborates with other practitioners from different Mexican regions. She is currently studying Narrative Practices, Community Therapy and Systemic Therapy specializations. She graduated from the International Class in 2018 and she participates in Globotherapy with the East Side Institute. She holds a Diploma in Social Entrepeneurship from Stanford University, as well as a Masters in International Development from the University of Birmingham (UK) and a BA in Management (Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico).
